We love a good party; but regret that we do not hire the house for weddings.

BOOK YOUR EVENT AT SOUTHERNHAY HOUSE

Our 2024 exclusive use tariff starts at £7,950 and includes:


  • Exclusive use of Southernhay House from 3pm on your arrival day to 11:00 the next day.
  • Bed and breakfast for up to 24 guests in all of our 12 gorgeous bedrooms (note: all are doubles, though of course may used for single occupancy).
  • A lovely sit-down, three course evening meal for up to 24 guests in our Club Room.
  • We can accommodate an additional 26 non-resident guests. The maximum capacity in total is 50 guests.
  • Food for additional guests, and all drinks, are charged at then current prices.


TERMS

£1,000 deposit is payable on booking and non-refundable within three months of the booking date.

There is a £2,500 supplement for any Friday or Saturday booking, or any bank holiday Sunday or Monday.

The balance is due not less than two weeks before arrival, together with your choices for the evening meal.

Our bar closes at midnight. Should you wish to extend last orders, there will be a £900 supplement.

All additional expenditure is to be settled on checkout by the host or by individual guests (as preferred). If there is any dispute about charges, the host will be responsible for the balance.

Please note that the House is not a suitable venue for small children nor do we have children’s menus. Children of 8 and over are, as always, most welcome on an adult tariff.

We do not offer facilities for discos: there is no dance floor.

If you are bringing musicians into the venue, we can accommodate up to a trio; all live music must end at midnight.


A typical timeline:

  • 3pm resident guest arrival, guests check into rooms
  • 3.30pm, meet and mingle party, mini-bites and your chosen drinks. Use the garden to the full, weather permitting!
  • 6pm, you and your guests sit down for your evening three course meal. Note: if you have non-resident guests and would like them to join the party earlier, we can offer bowl food for all of you in the alternative to a sit down meal. A supplement may apply (depending on your guest numbers). Remember, also, that we have two dining rooms if you fancy formal dining for an additional 14 guests!
  • 8pm, non-resident guests join your party: greeted with canapés/bowl food. Note: non-resident guests need to register on arrival and sign out on departure.
  • 8pm-midnight, evening party.
  • by midnight, non-resident guests leave.
  • from 7.30-10.30am the next day: breakfast for all residents.
